Thoughts
Chet has always thought that my thought process was really weird. We can be talking about something, I will be silent for 10 seconds, and then I am talking about something that seems so random to him. My head is constantly rolling, one thought that leads to another. It bounces around from something that reminds me of something to something else that reminded me of that and so on. Confusing I know. As I had Cars tested for ADHD and the lady was reporting the results to me, everything she said was something I could TOTALLY relate to. I think I might have ADHD too! Crazy little thing to realize at 31. Anyways, tonight at dinner Cars says, "I'm really active...(2 second delay) My poop stinks REALLY bad...(maybe 2 second delay)...I don't want to be fat... (no delay, barely took a breath), why do you get hiccups?" Chet and I bust out laughing and he just looked at us like, "what?" It was hillarious. Half because I feel for the poor kid, and the other half because I don't feel alone!!! I have passed the never ending bouncing thought on! Poor Cars, haha!!!

Colby May 2012
Colby is growing up so fast! He is so smart. He amazes me everyday with his new knowledge. He has been copying everything he sees for a while, but this morning as we were really talking I thought I better write down everything he is doing. He will be 18 mo June 10th. He has been living in the halls of the church, and we are REALLY excited for June 10th to arrive!!! He is talking in sentences, and has for a while. This morning he hit his knee on the open dishwasher and said "owwwww!" I asked him if it hurt him and he said while holding his knee and limping away, "Yeah. It did hurt." He busts something out like this almost everyday. He uses a full sentence, not just a few words. He tells me almost every meal as he pulls at his straps of his chair, "I want out!" He can follow orders. I tell him to go put Carson's shoes in his closet and he knows which one is Carsons and goes puts them there. He can put items on each kids bed too. He likes to help pick out his clothes, and is already funny about the clothes he wears. He knows what he likes and what he doesn't. He hates hoodies! (But I love them so I put them on him with the hood up, he screams and pulls it off his head and then a hoodie doesn't seem as bad as a hoodie with the hood on! Sneaky little sucker I am, haha!) Whenever he hears a diesel truck pull into the culdasac (even though Chet only drives his about 2 times a week) he gets really excited, freezes, and looks at me wide eyed and says, "Dad?" If the front door EVER opens, he does the same thing. Whenever I am on the phone he always thinks it's Chet. He is obsessed with Dad right now. Last night we watched a family movie (Rio, it was really cute!) and he sat and watched for the first time. Usually he is just running wild. He starred at the TV while eating his popcorn. He didn't even look into the bowl. He made it about 20 min before it was his bedtime and we put him down. Not bad for a 18 mo old! His new favorite meal is cereal. I pour him his own bowl (either Frosted Mini Wheats or Life) and he eats it with a spoon and all. He has to have an eating utinsel every meal or he screams for one. He is a really good shopper and just puts his forehead down on the cart when he is tired. When I put him in the cart he puts his arms in the air so I can strap him in. He LOVES to irritate his brothers. He will take their toys and take off running laughing. He will walk through their games back and forth, back and forth. He plays the piano when Carson is practicing, irritating the heck out of Cars. He turns off the Wii and takes off running. He knows exactly what he is doing. He will drink from any cup left within range. He is really good at it (he also drinks his milk from his cereal-he doesn't like milk so this is great for me!) and spills trying to put it back or walk around with it. He wants to be outside ALL.THE.TIME! Drives me crazy! He has no fear, except for strangers and animals. We were talking to a friend that had a dog and she was asking if he wanted to pet him and Colby says, "No! No!" while waving his hands in front of him. He'll yell GO! to any dog he sees. He LOVES ice cream and any other junk food. He might be addicted to Diet Pepsi. He loves it too (I would have NEVER let my twins drink my drink!) He is warming up to showers, as this is all he gets anymore. I hate to give baths, the other boys were showering very young as well! Every day is a new adventure with him! He is SO dang cute!!!

Newborn
Today I babysat a newborn for a good friend of mine. As I sit and watched him laugh and smile and endure the hugs and kisses from my boys (he has 3 older siblings my kids ages so he was a champ!) I was so happy. I loved to see this precious little baby! And not one ounce of me was sad that I will not have any more newborns. I asked my aunt Stephanie once if she was sad as her youngest daughter was growing out of stages, and she said no, it was the opposite. I can see what she meant. As Colby screamed with envy as I kissed this cute little boy, I just laughed. He is a jealous little bug, a new revelation to me. Tristan's mom came and picked him up, I cleaned up the rest of my house, made lunch, and I go on with my day, while my baby sleeps at his regularly scheduled time! Soooooooo nice!!! Cael was ADORABLE with him!!! He shook a little rattle for him when he cried, danced in front of his car seat for several minutes, talked baby talk to him in a high squeaky voice and then looked to me like he was so proud of himself. Then Colby started to show off for him too. Fun to see Colby coming into his cute little personality and copying EVERYTHING he sees. Fun times...when the baby belongs to someone else. Been there...done that...and done with that!
Colby the Faker
Cael backed into Colby barely hitting him in the face with a box he was holding. Colby says, "Owwwwww!" really loud and starts this pathetic fake cry. I grabbed him and put him in a headlock and rubbed his head with my knuckles and told him he was the baby of 5 boys, he better toughen up! He started laughing. He is in a really fun stage, but I can see how this can become the brat stage too. He is such a faker. Everyday he fake cries to attempt to get everything he wants. He cries when he barely gets hit, and laughs when he gets bulldozed down. Oh boys! I hope we, me included, make it through this sane!

Wreck
Carson and Carter are treading on new ground. We are getting to the point where I am letting them venture out of sight more and more. They have been wanting to ride their bikes with Baylee, the neighbor, all week to the school a little over a half mile away. Today I was busy working outside and decided this could be the day. It was 7 pm so I told them to be home by 7:40. By the time they rushed around getting everything ready (who knows what that entailed) it was 7:18. At 7:38 they come back in the door. They plop down on the couch, except Cars who is busy doing something. I asked him what he was doing and he says, "Oh, I wrecked pretty bad, but I had my helmet on, it's ok." He comes over to me with a band-aid in hand and pulls up his shirt. His arm was munched! The road won that battle. Then he lifts up his shorts and his whole thigh was covered in scratches that took all the skin and it was just flaming red! I asked if he wrecked on the way home and he tells me in the calmist voice, "No. On the way there. But Baylee really wanted to play so we went to the park and played and then came home. Please put this on and be careful. It hurts really bad." He was so calm and matter of fact. He is soooooo tough. The school nurse says one of the toughest. She laughs everytime she calls me (protocol if they go to her office) and tells me what he did this time. He RARELY ever cries from being hurt (tired cry is another story!!!) I love this adventurous, fun side of him. Tough as nails too!!!

My Little Copy Cat
Colby has been sick for a while now, and he is not good at being sick. Some of my kids just lay around, asking for things when they need them, then others are needy, whiny, and relentless sickies!!! Colby would fall into the latter catagory! We are going on day 4 of nothing but whining, short choppy naps, and Chet out of town or busy with his calling. I am more than on edge! So I notice that Carter has a tooth barely hanging on. I told him that we needed to pull it. He is, however, a total wimp when it comes to these things. Chet gets all wiggly even thinking about pulling a tooth, and so my Little McCoy has aquired that traight. After pulling the tooth right out of his mouth he was whining and saying ouch and acting like a baby. I was just laughing at him and telling him to toughen up, it was all in his mind. Next thing I know, Colby is pulling on his teeth and saying "outs" (for ouch) in his fake little whiny cry. I couldn't help but laugh!!! He was just doing exactly what Carter was, and wanting some attention for it! These little ones are so smart. They know how to work the system!!!

Nice Butt
Baylee, the neighbor, just told me that Cade was a sicko. I asked why he was and she said that he told her, "Get out of the way nice butt!" I was shocked and turned to Caden and asked why he would say that, it was not appropriate. He smiles and then looks at me with confusion, and says, "What? I said nice words to her. That was nice. What was wrong with that?" Oh my...enough said!
Make Out
Today at church Carson saw a dad sitting in the back seat of a truck so that his daughter could drive. Carson said that as soon as he got his license, Chet and I would be sitting in the back so that he could drive. I told him I thought that was awesome, Dad and I will just make out on the way to church. He thought that was gross. When he was telling Chet at dinner about it, he was laughing so hard he couldn't tell him. Caden says that he is sitting between us so that we cannot make out!
Mothers Day 2012
Why is it that Mothers Day and your birthday seem to be the worst days ever. I think because our expectations are so high to have a nice peaceful, loving, appreciated day...full of fun, relaxation, and appreciation, only to find that you are still in reality, and that you have to wait a few more years to have that kind of day. Today, I did not have many expectations. Last night I had a good friend, Megan, from my ward drop by flowers to tell me happy mothers day. That started it all off great. Chet got up with the kids and had no early morning meetings, so he let me sleep until 10. Then, he stayed home with two sick babies and let me go to church. When I got home he had cleaned the kitchen and made a full dinner, including making me some of Sarah's rolls. The boys showered me with all of their homemade mothers day gifts, which were pretty cute, I must say. The boys made me snow globes in scouts. They are really cool!!! Then at dinner Chet asked each boy to tell me what they loved most about me. I must first tell you that Chet said what he loved most about me was that I was home every day for them when they got home from school. He loves that I dedicate my life at this time to raising them. Then Cael says, "My favorite thing about mom is that she takes me to the play area!" The funny thing about that is that it is a daycare place at the gym. I take him there for 2 hours most weekdays, while I work out. Chet loves that I don't take them to daycare, and Cael loves most that I do! That seems like a no win!!! Haha, luckily Chet is good with me taking them there, as they love it and the girls are really cute that babysit in there. Carter loves that I keep the house clean, Carson loves that I take him around every week on his paper route so that he can make money, and Caden loves that I let him play with his friends outside. Kind of interesting the things they say. I told them what I love about them. Carter that he is sooooo much like his dad. He loves to take care of me, and it truely hurts him if I am sad. Carson that he teaches me sooooooo much about myself. He says the phrases I say, has the attitude I have, and really gives me a mirror to see myself. I love his spunk and crazy in him. Caden that he tells me that he loves me more than all the other 5 boys in the house put together. He is always kissing me on the cheek and telling me that he loves me. He is extremely genuine when he expresses his emotions, and he truely loves from the bottom of his heart, a heart the size of Texas. Cael for the excitement he has in everything he says. The neighbor always tells me that she wants to "gobble him right up" and that sums it up pretty good. He has so much joy for EVERYTHING. He is always fisting up his hands and pulling them back and saying "yesssssssss!" to everything I agree to. Like, "Mom, can I have a drink of water?" me: "Sure." Cael: "yesssssssss!" So cute and excited for life! And Colby. Colby is so cute. He is in a really fun stage. (unless you are at church. 17 mo old is not fun at church!) He is becoming a boy. I love how he is a copycat right now. The boys were all kneeling around the ottamon (sp?) and so he was right there looking at them so that he could do the exact same thing. I love how he runs behind the boys talking a million words a minute, but you cannot understand any of it. He loves routine. When it's bedtime or naptime we pick him up and say its ni-night time and he puts his head right on your shoulder and snuggles in. Then you sing him one song and down he goes. Rarely ever makes a peep (until hours later, he still wakes up about 5 times a night, I just don't ever go in. He just moans and groans and goes back to sleep!) They are all so cute, in their own unique way!!!

New Doctor
Today I was in a ton of pain. I napped in Cael's bed on his HORRIBLE pillow. I woke up feeling like I had a pinched nerve. I couldn't turn my head and could feel my muscles tightening with every passing minute. The chiropractor said they could get me in, but that meant taking all 5 kids. I called for a sitter, but with no luck. So, I went with all the kids. I am sure the staff about died. The doctor just took me right in and started adjusting me and was really cute with the kids. They were being angels, they had been threatened with their life as they knew it! After he was done, he asked if he could adjust Cael, free of charge, because he was getting sick today. He wanted to see if there was any problem that he could see. Cael was a champ and did everything he asked. When he was done, he asked if any other boy wanted to go. Of course, all 3 said yes. I'm sure Colby would have if he knew what was going on too! So one by one, for free, he adjusted each boy. We laugh at how we have named the boys, and how much they are like the person they are named after, with crazy things even. Carter, my little McCoy (After Chet McCoy) hated it. He for the life of him, cannot figure out why anyone would go do that...and pay for it too (Just like his dad!) Then Carson "Kelly" LOVED it (The ONLY doctor that I know of that my dad likes to go to...or even will go to!) Caden just sit and laughed the entire time and thought it was awesome (he wasn't named after anyone and he is in his own world most of the time. We love Caden land, but he is there at least 50% of his day! At least it's a happy place with no rules or cares!) Cael "Morgan" wanted to know why he was doing everything, what it was doing, how it was going to help him, and everything else a really smart kid would ask. He stayed pretty emotionless but was awesome to go along and trusted me that it was a good thing. Carson asked if he could go everytime I go, even if he has to miss school. Too funny!!! As I was checking out, the older boys were helping keep the younger boys happy and out of things. The staff was telling me how cute and well behaved my boys were. That could have went terribly wrong, but today was a victory. They were REALLY good, fooled the entire staff into thinking they were angels, and all got their first adjustment.

Baylee
We have a new neighbor girl named Baylee. She is 8. She is tough. She is active. It was a match made in heaven. Carson and her were immediate friends. They play every minute they possibly can. She loves music, and loves to turn it up and sing every word, just like Carson! She loves to ride the 4 wheeler and cranks it out, just like Carson! It has been really fun to see them. Today her dad was telling me that Carson came to the house the other day and asked if he could get Baylee's cereal for her, she wanted it. He asked Cars if he liked getting bossed around by her, and Cars pulls a funny thoughtful face and says (while nodding his head slowly), "Yeah...I think I do." He was like oh crap! So today when she was telling him what to do, Cars said no he didn't want to walk the dogs, Josh, Baylee's dad, says, "Good job Cars! Stick up for yourself!" However, before that, Carson was mopping the kitchen floor and wanted to play with Baylee soooooooooo bad! I told him that he could go get Baylee and she could come talk to him while he finished (she was circling outside waiting for him). So when they come inside Baylee is immediately mopping the floor while Carson is telling her what to do. I said, "Baylee was allowed to come TALK to you, not do it for you!" Then Baylee tells me, "Carson came and told me and my parents that you told him to come get me to mop your floor for you." I wanted to die! Smart little boy...pawn off his chores, but I was immediately texting her mom! Oh how I hope that everyone just gets a laugh out of the things my boys say, and not take them as fact! How embarrassing!!! They are two little manipulators!!! But they are TONS of fun! I love having her here every day.

Cade(n)'s New Idea
(Caden has changed his name to Cade. His papers say it, his class calls him it, the neighbors all call him it...we will see if it sticks!) Today Caden tells me that him and Zeb (a best friend at school) have a great idea that they are going to do. He says, "Zeb and I are both going to get married and have 6 kids as fast as our wives can. Then, we are going to divorce them and take the kids. We are going to move into a mansion that has a dirt bike track out in the backyard. Our kids will be our slaves and cook and clean and do everything we want, and we will ride dirt bikes all day." as he nods his head up and down to show me that he is DEAD serious! Oh my, I have alot to teach this little rugrat!!! So funny how 2 chores a day makes him think that he is a slave! Funniest thing is that Caden is my snuggliest, huggiest, kissenist, lovinst kid I have. He will be such a good husband some day!!!

Dancing
Most people that know me, know that I love to dance. I find myself getting busted by neighbors through my kitchen window on occasion busting it out while doing dishes. When Colby cut off his fingertip, the only thing that would get him to stop crying was to dance with him around the ER room, I think because it was a calming method I have used on all of my kids. So today, as normal, the radio was blaring in the kitchen as I was cleaning. I totally caught Cael busting it out. He's got some talent for free dance. (So does Cars!) He was so dang cute, but embarrassed when he got caught. So, when I cannot find him about 5 min later, I find him in his bedroom with Carson's Kids Bop blaring and he is dancing around his room. So cute! I love they are loving to dance too. (Side note: I cannot really dance, just free dance! I have no training! I am sure I look like most that think they can sing, but cannot! Yeah, that's probably me, but I get a good quad workout everyday!)
