Groundhog Day
After school on groundhog day, Cars and I were sitting at the table casually talking about nothing important. Then he says that the groundhog saw his shadow and there will be 6 more weeks of winter. He takes a drink and then gets this skeptical look on his face and says, "Is the groundhog even real or is it a bunch of crap?" Chet was sitting doing something with Caden, and we both just bust out laughing. Cars never broke his skeptical look, and says, "I'm serious, that sounds like a bunch of crap! Do they all huddle around a groundhog all day waiting for him? Sounds weird!" Chet and I were dying laughing. I guess he went to school and asked the same question, because he came home the next day about how the President is involved and holds the groundhog etc etc etc. I don't know how much of his was true, but this whole Santa, Toothfairy, Easter Bunny crap has him all skeptical! And I have to agree. I hate the whole lying thing to your kids about imaginary things. It just feels wrong. And then they don't trust anything. Crazy kids anyways... love em to pieces!!!

I realize that traditions are important, but I agree with Carson. They dress up with top hats and hold the groundhog high for everyone to see every year. Like, really? When is enough, enough? Cause, I'm pretty much done with that "holiday!"
