Babysitting

Tonight while Chet and I were running out for a few minutes, we asked Cael who the boss was. He said Cars. I told Colbs that Carter was his boss (each boy watches a baby and Caden watches himself. If there are any fights or problems at all they call us to come home and whoever was in the fight doesn't get paid), and he was sad and begged to have Cars his boss. I told Cael that Carter could be his boss and he was sad and said that he wanted Cars. I looked at Carter and said, "Bummer! You haven't been very fun. Cars gets all the babysitting money!" He was like what the heck! He started trying to get the babies to play with him. I asked Carter if I should ask sitters to watch them that he doesn't like. Or that don't play with them. He understood. I think that he learned a good lesson from that. If you think that you can just sit back and relax when you are getting paid (or even not paid!) to do a job, even for your own family, you are wrong. Life doesn't work that way. A little competition never hurt anyone! Now they are both being SUPER nice to the babies. Love it!!!
